Going Green

Green dentistry, also known as ecodentistry, is a practice that protects the wellness of patients, as well as the environment. Methods like replacing traditional X-rays with digital radiography, reducing chemical waste, steam sterilizing, using reusable supplies, and installing non-metal fillings, veneers, and crowns are just a few ways in which dentists are going green.

Dr. Osborn is dedicated to making her practice eco-friendly. She uses composite resin fillings, porcelain veneers, and porcelain or zirconia crowns. Unlike dental restoratives containing metal amalgam, which can contaminate the water supply and pose potential health risks for patients, the resin, porcelain, and zirconia alternatives that Dr. Osborn uses are long-lasting and environmentally sound.

Dr. Osborn also encourages her patients to reduce their own carbon footprints by walking, biking, or using public transportation to travel to her office. Those who do will receive a discount
